This Christmas Spectacular Show at a Texas Megachurch is Insane
It's not surprise that the Christmas season is a church's time to shine! And at this Plano, Texas megachurch, they go all out for their Christmas spectacular.
Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, Texas- in the DFW Metroplex, has once again gone viral after a newcomer decided to visit the megachurch's Christmas show appropriately titled: "The Gift of Christmas" and, oh boy, did they have good reason to be surprised!
Is that drummer boy flying?! Can you imagine going to this church for the first time and THIS is the show you see? Sounds amazing!
"The Gift of Christmas featuring the Living Nativity" is Prestonwood's big show of the entire year- obviously. It features a cast of almost 1,000 people with a choir, an orchestra, flying angels and live animals. Their main focus is, of course, to "magnify Christ".
However, this isn't the first time that the church's Christmas show has raised some eyebrows. Last year, footage from their Christmas extravaganza received some backlash with many wondering where the funds for a show of this caliber came from.
Not surprisingly, this year, the statement remains the same. Is this church or a Broadway show about Jesus and "The Greatest Showman"? Some of the comments include:
The 'Righteous Gemstones' in real life.
The show "The Righteous Gemstones" is a comedy series that follows a world-famous televangelist family with a long tradition of deviance, greed, and charitable work.
And, of course, many poked fun at the tax-exempt entity for it's extravagant performance.
No taxes just vibes.
Also, what's with the song from the "Greatest Showman"?! Weird, but I guess if you're a church and you're going to go all out, Christmas time is the time to do it!
