Boerne is holding a race for charity that anybody can do. Plus it comes with some sweet extras you don't normally get with a 5K.
The city is hosting a .5K race, which comes out to about .31 of a mile. The Facebook page for the event says this race should last "about ten minutes" which means the set up and take down for the event will probably take triple the time. The event even has a coffee and donut hydrations station for the middle of the race, incas you were to tucker out a little early. Participants also get a beer upon completion of the race, as well a a medal and sticker letting everyone know what a great underachiever you are. The idea for the race was such a hit that registration filled up quickly with many excited to show off just how mediocre they could be.
