Some People Think Texas Is A Cult

Texas is one of the few states with it's own state pledge of allegiance and that, among other things, shocked one Texas transplant.

Texans LOVE Texas - we all know that. I know people who live in other states and have talked to people while visiting other states and I have yet to find anybody with the same level of state pride as a Texan.

It's crazy ... but so well deserved.

What other state can you spend an entire day driving down one highway and not leave the state? How about rivers you can surf in, several islands and an ocean with one of the world's longest beaches? You can also visit European landmarks. and enjoy every environment there is - deserts, mountains, forests, swamps, extreme heat, freezing cold, etc.

We also have multiple state animals, including a state dog, and our own pledge of allegiance. As far as the state pledge goes, we're one of only 17 - our neighbors in New Mexico are one of the other copycats.

Do You Know The Texas State Pledge?

If you are one of the uninitiated, here it is: "Honor the Texas flag; I pledge allegiance to thee, Texas, one state under God, one and indivisible."

A lady who recently moved to Texas was pretty impressed by this ... or, shocked maybe. Her Tik Tok video went viral and generated some pretty funny comments about Texans and their love of the lone star state.

My favorite 2 quotes were "I want somebody to love me the way Texans love Texas" and "Texas is a cult". Texas pride is real ya'll.
