Texas Stadium Approved as a Polling Site
It's a big election year and what better way to get your vote on than by voting in one of the most elite, and biggest, stadiums in all of Texas?
Good news for the folks in Tarrant county in Texas, if you've ever wanted to cast your vote for President of the United States at the same place the Dallas Cowboys play, this is your chance! The Tarrant County Commissioners Court approved the use of AT&T Stadium as a voting location!
Now, the stadium won't be used for early voting, which begins on Monday, October 21, but it will be open for election day on November 5. According to the Dallas Morning News, AT&T stadium will come equipped with 50 voting machines, and parking will be free!
In the past, large venues like football stadiums have been utilized for voting, especially during the pandemic to accommodate social distancing- but this will be the first time that AT&T stadium, since opening in 2009, will be used as a polling site!
Tarrant County Commissioners have no doubt that this will be the biggest and, perhaps, the most popular voting centers across the county! It's also great news for those who have never had a chance to visit AT&T Stadium as commissioners are allowing residents to vote at any polling site in the county, but of course, you'll have to be a voter in Tarrant county in order to be allowed to vote at AT&T Stadium- so don't forget your ID and voter registration card!
It's a big election year, and I'm noticing a lot of counties allowing voters to cast their votes at any polling site within their county, to ensure that everyone's votes counts! And what better way to entice citizens to exercise their right to vote than by opening up AT&T Stadium? Remember to vote on November 5th!
