Like a scene from a horror movie. a ghost ship appeared on a Texas beach unmanned, loaded with supplies and ready to rock. Except there was no crew.

This reminds me of the chapter in Dracula when the Demeter ... the ship Count Dracula took from Transylvania to England ... arrives in port with no living soul aboard except a dog who runs away.

A marine biologist doing a routine survey on a beach in Corpus Christi found the abandoned boat beached. About 1/4 mile down the beach, he found its (empty) life boat.

The 35 foot sailboat had somehow beached itself with all its sails fully open and ready to sail with its running lights on and plenty of supplies including a cooler, a bbq grill and some personal items but no passengers. To add an extra element of creepiness to this story, its life boat was found about a quarter mile away, also in good condition ... and also empty.

What Happened To The Sailboat?

Finding no signs of life or any reason for the boat to be washed up on the beach, Harte Research Institute marine biologist Jace Tunnell notified the authorities and, thankfully, that is where the mystery gets, (kinda), explained.

The boat, registered in Arizona, had already been reported missing by its owners and things were in motion to return it to them. I really doubt that Dracula was involved in any way but no explanation was given as to how the sailboat got from Arizona to Texas so, that mystery remains.
