There are many places to visit in the entire world that CNN decided to make a list of the places you must visit and this Texas hot spot made the list!

CNN's "Where to go in 2024: The best places to visit" doesn't just include one Texas city- it includes an entire region! The Texas Hill Country! The region, mainly in Central and South Texas, almost feels like its own world consisting of natural springs, blue bonnets as far as the eye can see and plenty of sights to see.

Of the Hill Country, CNN says:

Meanderers will also find rolling hills and hiking trails, winding rivers, wineries, barbecue, music and dance halls, plus an explosion of wildflowers in March and April. And in 2024, April also brings a celestial spectacle to Hill Country — the total solar eclipse on April 8.

At the Muleshoe Bend Recreation Area, considered a hidden gem in the Hill Country, you'll be engulfed in a field of blue bonnets, the state flower, and breathtaking views of the Colorado River. The area is abundant in wildlife and will make you feel like singing that the hills are live with the sound of music!

If you're a fan of "The X-Files", then Reimer's Ranch will look familiar! A 1998 episode was filmed at the park. Is the truth out there? Who knows, but you can explore Reimer's Ranch by mountain biking, paddleboard or just hiking.

Obviously, there's lots to see and experience in the Hill Country! Other places on the list include:

  • Sumba Island, Indonesia
  • Tartu, Estonia
  • Turkey’s Black Sea Coast
  • Tainan, Taiwan
  • Northwest Michigan
  • Culebra, Puerto Rico
  • South Korea
  • Albania
  • Chile
  • Abrolhos Islands, Western Australia
  • Macedonia, Greece
  • Panama

You can check out the entire list here- but what an honor that the Lone Star state made the list!
