If you're the kind of person who starts decorating for Halloween before summer is even over, Texas has a museum that might deserve a spot on your spooky-season bucket list!

While most museums are dedicated to art, science, or history, one Texas attraction is dedicated entirely to Halloween. We're talking vintage costumes, creepy collectibles, haunted artifacts, and the fascinating history behind everyone's favorite spooky holiday.

And the best part? This museum is located inside an actual Halloween park that's officially open for the 2026 spooky season!

Where Is the Texas Halloween History Museum?

The Texas Halloween History Museum is located at 149 Split Rail Lane in Smithville, Texas.

The museum sits on the grounds of Scream Hollow Wicked Halloween Park, which officially opened for the 2026 Halloween season on September 18. That means Halloween lovers can explore the museum and make an entire spooky outing out of their visit!

The museum itself features three buildings dedicated to preserving the history of Halloween, exploring how the holiday has influenced different cultures, and sharing some of the darker stories associated with the supernatural.
