Paid Time Off for Sex Days Might Come to Texas
We've heard of sick days, but what about "sex days"? That could be something that Texas will get to use in the near future!
That's at least according to a new study by ZipHealth, who found that more than three in five employees support the idea of paid or unpaid "sex days."
ZipHealth surveyed 800 employees and 200 managers across the US, examining perspectives on "sex days" which would be dedicated time off for intimacy, health, and related "needs".
Aside from finding that over three in five employees actually supported the idea of paid, or unpaid, sex days, ZipHealth also found that one in two employees have already taken a "sex day" and in return, they found that their productivity actually increased at the office!
As for what employers think? ZipHealth's survey found that 15% of employers would actually implement "sex days"! Can you imagine asking your boss for a day off for a spicy day? Well, as it turns out, nearly one in five Americans would actually feel comfortable approaching their manager about taking a "sex day" or "sexual wellness day"!
I think the term "sexual wellness day" is way better than just asking for a sex day!
ZipHealth also explored the benefits of "sexual wellness days" and found that half of the employees who have already taken sexual wellness days reported a noticeable boost in their productivity afterward, hinting at the potential organizational advantages of embracing sexual wellness initiatives.
The survey also revealed way more, including how many employers have said they have already had sex at the office, and how many have had sex during a work call!
Whether Texas employers and workers could see these types of day off options in the future remains to be seen, but one thing is certain, employers and workers are significantly reducing the stigma surrounding sexual health, helping to create a more open and supportive environment!
