Texas is A Great State for Road Trips
Texas lands in the top ten list, landing at no. 8, for WalletHub's Best & Worst States for Summer Road Trips. To determine this, WalletHub compared the 50 states across three key dimensions: costs, safety and activities. While WalletHub didn't really go into detail on why Texas is one of the bests, I think we can determine that ourselves.
Why is Texas a Great State for Summer Road Trips?
Texas does do well across the board:
- Gas is generally cheaper here than in many other states.
- You’ll find plenty of attractions per capita- from natural wonders like Big Bend to cultural gems like the Cadillac Ranch.
- Road quality is solid, and there’s no shortage of scenic routes, especially through the Hill Country or along the Gulf Coast.
Whether you're craving desert landscapes, beach breezes, piney woods, or rolling hills, Texas delivers-all in one state.
