Hard rockers Hinder are back with a new album, ‘Welcome to the Freakshow,’ out Dec. 4, and frontman Austin Winkler isn’t holding back when it comes to opening up about the inspiration behind the album’s heavy tracks. Winkler says most of the songs are a reflection of “a really, really dark drug binge,” which drove him to rehab after the band finished the album.
The day is finally here to celebrate KLAQ's 27th annual BBQ over at Western Playland and the finale to my countdown. Just a re-cap of my countdown from Friday night was "Bliss (I don't wanna know)" , "Better than me" then Saturday it was "Lips of an Angel" and "Shoulda".
Finally BBQ arrives along with Hinder tomorrow at Western Playland! If you still have not gotten your ticket, I suggest you do! But as I promised my next top two songs I decided to choose for tonights countdown also both come from the album Extreme Behavior.
I am stoked to know Hinder is returning back to the sun city of El Paso, Texas! I am hoping to hear my top favorite songs from this band when they're here Sunday. I will start with two songs tonight ending on Sunday with my top two Hinder songs that I hope to hear at Western Playland for KLAQ BBQ.
It was supposed to be like any other KLAQ BBQ. But .....
Hurricane Katrina had ravaged the gulf area and, with a nod to Zeppelin and The Tragically Hip, the levees had broken and New Orleans was (literally) sinking. That storm also pushed smaller storms with LOTS of rain as far inland as El Paso.
That's where the trouble started.
The KLAQ BBQ is this Sunday at Western Playland and performing on the Budweiser stage will be the band Hinder. Today on the KLAQ Morning Show, drummer Cody Hanson called in to talk about thier upcoming performance.
