Good news for El Paso drivers who still haven't mastered the art of parking their cars sideways! (That's uhh, most of you ... apparently.)

Two streets in El Paso will soon switch to angled parking spots. That means 1), more parking spaces in these areas and, 2), 95% of El Pasoans driving in these areas will no longer need 30 minutes to park. According to El Paso Herald Post online:

Work to install angled parking on Tularosa between Piedras and Estrella will begin on Monday, January 30, 2017.

Installation of angled parking on Pershing between Cebada and Piedras will commence upon crews completing the work on Tularosa.

The project will increase the number of on-street parking spaces on both streets. The number of on-street parking spaces on Tularosa will increase to 35 from 9, and Pershing will get 26 spaces compared to its current 14 spaces.

The article says work should be finished within 30 days.
