If you're tired of seeing the same things in El Paso there is somewhere different you can see all new Christmas attractions. It isn't as close as most of our local ones but it also isn't that far from El Paso. El Pasoans are used to driving in their car or walking on foot to see Christmas lights at Eastridge or the Fred Loya house. But can you imagine taking a boat ride to see houses decorated for Christmas?

You can enjoy a boat ride that takes you on a boat tour scoping out all the houses that are decorated. It is called Christmas on the Pecos and is a totally different way of seeing Christmas lights than what you're normally used to. The enchanted boat tour is about a 40-minute boat ride that shows you panoramic views of illuminated islands, boat docks, and backyards. This Christmas adventure is located in Carlsbad, New Mexico and is considered one of the top 100 "must-see events in North America." This would be a good family trip that is less than 3 hours away from El Paso.
