We're almost done with March but the road construction in El Paso isn't over yet! Check out what road closures are in your future for this week. Doesn’t matter when you’re traveling through the west side of El Paso, it looks like congestion is going to be an issue. Even the east side isn’t immune to traffic and headaches. With road closures, lane closures and more, El Paso traffic is getting worse before it gets any better. There will be some major freeway and road closures happening this week so make sure you are aware so you don’t get caught stuck in traffic.

U.S. 85 and Sunland Park (March 19 and 20, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.)

  • US 85 West direct connector ramp (the one to Sunland Park Dr) CLOSED AT MCNUTT
  • I-10 West Sunland Park exit ramp down to 1 lane

Sunland Park (27 Hr Closure, March 23-24, 3 a.m. to 6 a.m.)

  • I-10 Westbound COMPLETELY CLOSED from Executive Center Blvd to North Mesa Street
  • The I-10 eastbound exit ramp and entrance ramp at Sunland Park will close.
  • I-10 East Sunland Park exit and entrance ramps CLOSED
  • Sunland Park Drive CLOSED from Constitution Dr to Sunland Park Mall traffic lights
  • US 85 connector leading to Sunland Park Dr CLOSED at McNutt Road
  • US 85 CLOSED at Sunland Park Dr
  • Access to Paisano from Crockett Street CLOSED
  • I-10 East Sunland Park flyover OPEN
  • I-10 East Resler flyover CLOSED

I-10 West at Sunland (March 18-21, 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.)

  • I-10 West from Executive Center to North Mesa Street CLOSED
  • Sunland Park Drive CLOSED from Constitution Dr to Sunland Park Mall traffic lights
  • I-10 West Schuster/UTEP entrance CLOSED
  • US 85 connector leading to Sunland Park Dr CLOSED at McNutt Road
  • US 85 Racetrack Drive entrance ramp CLOSED

Doniphan (March 30 at 5 a.m. to March 31 at 6 p.m.)

  • From Racetrack to Executive Center COMPLETELY CLOSED

I-10 at Hawkins (March 22, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.)

  • I-10 West Hawkins entrance ramp CLOSED
