Russia Claims to Have Coronavirus Vaccine

Take this with a huge grain of salt, but Russia is claiming they have a vaccine for the coronavirus. Vladimir Putin even claims that one of his daughters has received the vaccine and has been inoculated. When talking about this vaccine, Putin said:

I would like to repeat that it has passed all the necessary tests. The most important thing is to ensure full safety of using the vaccine and its efficiency.

As Russia claims this vaccine is ready to roll, pretty much everyone else is meeting this news with tons of skepticism. The United States, Britain, and Canada have all claimed Russia has attempted and possibly succeeded in stealing vaccine research. Of course, Russia has denied this.

Those outside of Russia believe this vaccine has been rushed and hasn't gone through the proper protocol, basically skipping the Phase 3 trials that usually take months and involve thousands of people. Putin claimed that is daughter had a temperature of 100.4 degrees when she received the first injection of this vaccine. The day after it dropped down to 98.6 degrees. She received a second shot and her temperature elevated slightly only to go right back down. Again, this is Vladimir Putin making these claims.

In case you were wondering, Russia isn't exactly on the level when it comes to health related issues. Just go watch the documentary Icarus on Netflix. It'll show you just how Russia, yes, the government, likes to deal with 'testing' and 'medical facts'. At this point, any 'news' coming out of Russia has to be met with major, major skepticism.
