You can all thank the "Fappening" for this.

The sharing website Reddit is now cracking down on their users putting up nude photos on their website. Since the creation of Reddit, the website has strongly opposed any form of censorship, and let the users govern themselves on the site. For the over 160 million users of the site, this has allowed them to share and discuss anything they want, without restrictions. The company is now changing their views, but lucky for freedom-loving users, only slightly.

Reddit will now ban users from posting nude photos and videos without getting their permission first. Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian had this to say about the change in policy,

“The opportunity here is to set a standard for respecting the privacy of our users.”

This is being looked at as a positive step for Reddit, who are trying to keep up with the ever-changing technology and the higher level of skill by hackers. Last year during the Fappening, several celebrities had their nude photos stolen from their phones and laptops, and many ended up on Reddit. Multiple celebrities contacted Reddit, demanding that their photos be removed. Reddit is hoping that this will also help them deal with other photo issues on the site, like their illegal "Jailbait" sub-reddit that was removed, and any revenge porn photos that may have been on the site. Altogether, this should be something that helps the website and any photo issues that may come in the future. But you will have to look for your naked celeb photos elsewhere.
