Portion of I-10 To Shut Down On Westside This Weekend

El Paso is once again gearing up for another Carmageddon this Sunday. Find out where to steer clear of, and who should just stay home.

From Sunday, August 14th at 3 a.m. to Monday, August 15th at 5 a.m., Interstate 10 in both directions will completely closed between the Sunland Park Overpass and the Executive Center Overpass.

The detour for this closure for both eastbound and westbound traffic will be to Mesa Street. Vehicles will not be allowed to enter I-10 Eastbound from North Mesa Street.

Crews will be demolishing the Buena Vista Bridge and hopefully, this will be the last closure for the bridge to be demolished. There will be others in the future for more Go 10 projects.
