Police Investigate Freeway Shooting in Northeast El Paso

The El Paso Police Department's 'Gang Unit' is investigating a freeway shooting in Northeast El Paso that lead to a crash. The incident occurred near the intersection of Hondo Pass and Gateway North. The victim jumped out of the car after being shot. The car then went crashing into a barrier located at a home on Skyline Avenue. The investigation continues.

Fort Bliss Sergeant Gets 20 Years For Child Porn

A Fort Bliss Army sergeant is facing two decades behind bars on child pornography charges. A judge sentenced 36 year old Stephen Thurwanger to 20 years in federal prison followed by supervised release for ten years. Authorities found hundreds of child porn videos on several electronics owned by Thurwanger.

Police ID Victim In Fatal Shooting

Police are releasing the identity of a man killed in a shooting outside a home at Pueblo Nuevo Circle in El Paso. Police say Shedrick Duffey, 22, was shot and killed while leaving the home of his two-year-old son's mother's home. Police say the mother's next-door neighbors were apparently upset that he parked in front of their home and shot him as he drove away. Police arrested a father and son and released them later last night.
