Plasma Donations Needed From Recovered COVID-19 Patients

To help fight off COVID-19, Vitalant has launched a program that requires plasma from those who have recovered from COVID-19.

Those who have recovered have produced immune-boosting antibodies that could possibly fight off the disease, called convalescent plasma. This treatment could possible give those diagnosed with COVID-19 a fighting chance to recover from the disease.

Donations are desperately needed, so if you or someone you know meet these qualifications, please consider donating:

• prior diagnosis of COVID-19, documented by a laboratory test
• complete resolution of symptoms for at least 14 days (some hospitals require more time)
• a current negative test result for COVID-19
• all other donor eligibility for an automated plasma donation
