Once Again, There Is Chaos From the Amarillo SWAT Team

Oh Amarillo SWAT, let me count the ways I love thee. I swear, there are bigger cities in America that use their SWAT team far less than it seems Amarillo does, but here we are again.

It was only about a month ago when I wrote about the chaos that surrounds our SWAT team, and they're back with a fresh installment for us...and some questions.

SWAT recently descended upon a home on S. Mirror St. after obtaining a search warrant for the home. Law enforcement said they knew the home was storing a large amount of drugs prior to the investigation of the home.

That's not the part where the chaos comes from. Now, I don't have any personal experience in raids, only what I see in movies and TV. However, I'm assuming it's pretty similar to what we see.

As officials were securing the home, they apparently saw Landis Barrow leaving the home as they were entering the home.

Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't every possible entrance or exit to the home be covered by at least one agent as a raid is happening? The last thing you want is someone sneaking out a window or door.

Somehow, Barrow was able to walk out of the home and start placing a call to 911. He told the operator that he was being shot at, but in all likelihood, he was referring to the flash bang that gets thrown into the home.

Barrow was ultimately found and apprehended at Pine St., but I'm really concerned about how he was able to just stroll out of the house while officials were entering the premises. Talk about making your job harder than it needed to be
