Well, part of it anyway. Every time TXDoT or the city see a functioning road, they go after it.

According to the El Paso Times, "a portion of Scenic Drive will be closed for several months beginning Monday."  EP Times also reported that:

Scenic Drive will be closed from Louisville Avenue to Kentucky Street for the $3.9 million Kentucky Dam Improvement Project.

Motorists will still be able to access Scenic Drive by taking the Louisville Avenue detour around the project.

The project will help reduce flooding in Central El Paso by increasing capacity in nearby ponds, El Paso Water said. New water and wastewater lines in the area will be installed during the project as well.

It seems like all this work will never end!  As maintenance projects and bigger jobs like Go10 and the Streetcar project continue, expect even more closures and detours.
