Another Super Bowl has come and gone, as have a whole new slate of commercials.

As with every year, we all decide which ones are our favorites; mine include the General Motors Dr. Evil commercial that brought all of Dr. Evil's crew back together. Another one of my favorites was the Flamin' Hot one that involved the animals in the forest.

It's so cute- and judging by the comments on the video- it's one of the most popular ones that came out this year!

However, I am here to warn- nay- beg you- to not feed the animals Flamin' Hot chips!

I'm sure that Frito-Lay didn't think their new ad would be harmful at all- however, I don't think they have heard of "monkey-gate" or "Cheeto-gate" from 2021.

If you recall, last year a woman who jumped into the monkey enclosure at the El Paso Zoo took over the internet and it seemed like everyone had an opinion on it. The El Paso woman was caught on camera hopping over a fence at the El Paso Zoo and wading her way into the spider monkey enclosure. While inside the monkeys' habitat, the woman proceeded to feed the animals Hot Cheetos before making her way back over the fence.

It was news that caught everyone's attention.

At the time, El Paso Zoo Director Joe Montisano told KVIA News the woman was "stupid and lucky" she was able to get out of the enclosure unharmed. Mason Kleist is a zookeeper at the El Paso Zoo and said the woman could have been seriously harmed by the animal:

"These are primates we're talking about, they could do some substantial damage to you. They may be small monkey's but they can take you to the ground if they wanted to.”

Kleist also explained the spider monkeys at the zoo are on special diets they need to abide by. Not to mention Hot Cheetos can sometimes hurt my stomach so I can only imagine what they would do to a monkey's stomach.

So no matter what that commercial shows, and how cute it looks, DON'T FEED THE ANIMALS HOT CHEETOS!
