After finally receiving the much anticipated hoverboard everyone wants this holiday season, one little boy had his explode and destroy his family's home.

Yes, the future may be here in the form of hoverboards but there are still a few bugs that need to be fixed. Jessica Horne and her 12-year-old son were in shock after the hoverboard they had purchased caught on fire. Horne reported to WGNO that the hoverboard caught fire while it was charging, ""It was like fireworks," she says, "the middle part of the board--just 'poof.'"

The family's Louisiana home went up in flames in just a few minutes but luckily the family is okay. Horne said she purchased the hoverboard "Fit Turbo" from Amazon.com. In the last three months, eight injuries have been reported by The Consumer Product Safety Commission, a federal agency, that required medical assistant.
