Delicious El Pollo Loco Announces Plan to Bring More Locations to Colorado
Fans of the "Mexico born, California grown" chain of fast casual grilled chicken chain are rejoicing at the news that there are more Colorado locations on the way. The current location in Denver will have at least one other sister location in the state by Christmas of 2024.
It was in March of 2022, that El Pollo Loco announced they'd be brining in their first Colorado location to the Denver area, which did indeed open in late 2022. With nearly 400 locations in California, how many will Colorado have by the spring of 2025?
If El Pollo Loco opens just two more Colorado locations, we'll have more than Louisiana, but we'd still need about 30 more to beat out Texas. Regardless, by late 2024, the Centennial State will have more than one lonely El Pollo Loco spot.
El Pollo Loco began in Guasave, Sinaloa, Mexico in 1974. They expanded to the U.S. in 1980, and sold the American part of the business in 1983 while holding onto the Mexican part of the business. For over 40 years, people have loved the taste and "vibe" of what El Pollo Loco has been doing. Though mostly on the West Coast, they have been branching out, as of late.
WHERE ARE THE NEXT EL POLLO LOCO COLORADO LOCATIONS GOING TO BE?
According to FastCasual.com, the company has signed three new development agreements that will see new locations in New Mexico, Texas and Colorado. The Colorado locations will be in the Boulder/Broomfield area, in Weld County and in Larimer County. Fort Collins and Greeley could both have an El Pollo Loco by 2025.
