This week, we're taking it back 20 years for a show performed on James Hetfield's 37th birthday.

Metallica have been doing their Metallica Monday concert series for quite a while now.  This time around, they are taking us to James Hetfield's 37th birthday party in Big D.

The last show we reposted here at KLAQ.com took us to Metallica's home state of California for a 1989 show in Irvine, Ca. Metalica began posting these concerts for free to help us all pass the time while being held hostage by the COVID 19  quarantine.  Even though those restrictions have been lifted in some ways, they're keeping 'em coming to entertain their fans and to generate money for various COVID 19 related causes via their All Within My Hands foundation.

Toward that foundation, Metallica fans have already raised an incredible $93,000 which has enabled the foundation to donate a second round of grants for COVID-19 relief efforts. Some of the charities involved include one that benefits service industry peeps who have lost hours or their very jobs as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Bars, restaurants and live entertainment venues have been almost completely run out of business by this thing so, please help! Learn more here.

You can help them reach their weekly goal here. Now, grab some cold ones, invite your favorite peeps over and watch Metallica, as many times as you would like, thanks to Darron Powell, Attorney at Law.
