Metallica Mondays – 6/1/20: Live In Salt Lake City
Catch another entire Metallica concert right here, right now!
Metallica have been doing their Metallica Monday concert series for a few weeks now and this one takes us to Salt Lake City in 1997. This show comes in at just over 2 hours and features the famous "destruction sequence" where all hell breaks loose on stage and freaks everyone out. I saw it in Las Cruces and was honestly confused for a second as to whether or not people had really been hurt! (This was before Youtube and Facebook and all that stuff so, unless you had a friend who had already seen it or read a review or something, you had no idea what was going to happen.) One thing about Metallica live, from day one, fans have always gotten their money's worth.
Last week's show took us back to 2014 and was part of their "Live By Request tour" where the setlists were determined by the fans themselves. Metalica began posting these concerts for free to help us all pass the time while being held hostage by the COVID 19 quarantine. Now that restrictions have begun to be lifted, they're keeping 'em coming and also continuing to donate a ton of money to various COVID 19 related causes via their All Within My Hands foundation.
You can help them reach their weekly goal here. Now, grab some cold ones and your favorite peeps and watch Metallica, live ... as many times as you would like ... thanks to Darron Powell, Attorney at Law.
