Meet Your Favorite Live PD Officers This Weekend

This Saturday, get ready to meet some of your favorite El Paso officers from the Live PD show! A&E's Live PD has become a weekend phenomenon for many television viewers. Households will run to their tvs on Friday and Saturday, and now even Thursday nights to see what shenanigans people are getting into on the streets that night. People become fond of some of the officers and because of this, would LOVE to meet their favorite policeman or policewoman.

Lucky for those Live PD fans, the El Paso Police Department is having their "A Day With Your El Paso PD" event this Saturday, August 25th. Join the EPPD at the El Paso Police Academy, located at 2300 Scenic Drive from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There is no public parking at the academy due to limited space, but there is a free parking at 911 N. Raynor street. From there, a shuttle will take you to this family-friendly event. The parking, the shuttle, and the event are ALL FREE to the public.

Attendees can meet some of their favorite officers from the Live PD show, including the "Bun of Justice" Officer Zendejas. There will also be live demonstrations and displays from various parts of the department including:

K-9
Bomb Squad
CMT
Motors
and more!

For those who want to join the academy, EPPD recruiters will be onsite to answer any questions people have. They can also help you get started with the application process for the January 2019 Academy. If you get hungry, there will also be food trucks in attendance to grab a snack while you check out all the cool stuff the El Paso Police Department has to offer.
