‘Last Jedi’ Director Cleverly Hid A Classic ‘Star Wars’ Line
I'm still on a The Last Jedi high (mainly because I'm about to see it for the second time) and while doing some research I've learned many things. Now I'm not THE biggest Star Wars fan, I enjoy the movies, but to quiz me on the stories and comics I know I would never pass.
So apparently the iconic line "I have a bad feeling about this" is said in every Star Wars film and has since become a running gag. Well when The Last Jedi came out, a Twitter user was quick to point out that the line wasn't said at all in the film! But director Rian Johnson, who sees all your tweets to him apparently, was quick to respond that the iconic line IS indeed in The Last Jedi!
But where is it you may ask yourself? In an interview with HuffPost Rian Johnson confirms that none other than the adorable droid BB-8 is the one who says "I have a bad feeling about this."
SPOILER ALERT if you haven't seen it yet!
In the beginning of The Last Jedi, Poe Dameron is flying into battle against the First Order to which BB-8 lets out a series of beeps, Dameron's response is "Happy beeps." Johnson said that he originally wanted Poe Dameron to respond with "Oh, I have a good feeling about it. Keep your chin up." But Johnson wanted to make it more fun. and there you have it, that's the iconic "I have a bad feeling about this" in The Last Jedi. In the meantime, check out all the "I have a bad feeling about this" in every Star Wars!
