Rockers Eagles of Death Metal were playing at a Paris venue when terrorists began shooting.

UPDATE: The band's Facebook page has just posted a status regarding the terrorist attack at the concert venue:

We are still currently trying to determine the safety and whereabouts of all our band and crew. Our thoughts are with all of the people involved in this tragic situation.

We have information that confirms these two men are safe, but others aren't accounted for.

According to news station KESQ in Palm Springs, CA where both rockers are from, talked to member of the family who confrmed to the news station that the two founding members were not being held hostage in Paris.

Josh Homme did not go out on tour with the band for the European dates and was not in Paris at the time of the terrorist attacks.

Jesse Hughes is safe at a Paris police station at the moment and has spoken to family members.

According to KESQ,

Jesse told his brother that they were on stage when the gunmen entered the concert; they entered through multiple doors. Jesse was able to escape through a backstage door.

Other members of the band cannot be accounted for at this time.

Hostages have been taken at the venue and at other terrorists attacks in the city. The latest report showed there were 60 dead and many more injured. Police also believe terrorists are holding about 100 hostages inside of the venue. Reports have also said there are explosions being heard from inside the venue. Witnesses inside the venue told CNN they believe there are between 6 to 8 attackers inside the concert venue.
