The diner-inspired restaurant chain Johnny Rockets is coming to El Paso.

According to The El Paso Times, the hamburger chain will open its first Sun City location in June near the University of Texas at El Paso.

While the company currently has six locations in Texas already, the Sun City location will be the first west of Laredo.

According to The El Paso Times' report, the hamburger chain will go up at the site of a torn-down gas station at University and Mesa avenues.

If you've never eaten at a Johnny Rockets location, they're known for their hamburgers and cheeseburgers and retro feel, but I'm pretty partial to their milkshakes and malts.

While it's unclear exactly how many new jobs the restaurant will bring to El Paso, according to the company's website, each location employs about 20 to 40 full and part-time workers.
