The Best Enchilada’s in El Paso According to El Pasoans

El Paso takes its food seriously. We all have our favorites for the usuals like tacos, burgers and even wings, but I think enchiladas deserve a little love, too!

And because choosing the “best” enchiladas in El Paso is not a responsibility I wanted to take on alone, I went straight to the experts: El Pasoans.

El Paso Locals Shared Their Favorite Enchilada Spots

I asked our Facebook followers where they go when they’re craving a good plate of enchiladas, and I was overwhelmed with answers.

There were longtime favorites, neighborhood spots and plenty of restaurants I immediately wanted to add to my own foodie list. Whittling all those recommendations down wasn't easy, but these 13 El Paso restaurants got plenty of love from locals.

El Paso Really Loves Its Local Enchilada Spots

One of my favorite things about the responses was seeing how much love went to local mom-and-pop restaurants. El Pasoans showed up for the small businesses they love, and people were jumping into the comments to agree with recommendations or add their own. I'll definitely be checking out some of the one's I had never even heard of!

I’m also not surprised that the most famous places, like L&J Café and Kiki’s were mentioned so much; these restaurants are legendary for a reason and this list just wouldn’t be complete without mentioning them!

But there was one answer that may have beaten every restaurant on the list: "My mom’s house."

That, along with plenty of “my house” responses, made one thing very clear: El Paso apparently has A LOT of enchilada masters who aren't taking reservations!

I’m sure there are some great spots I missed, but with so many recommendations, I think that just proves the point. In El Paso, we're never running out of places to grab a great plate of enchiladas.
