For us Doors fans this is something wonderful.

This weekend on December 8th would have been the 70th birthday of the late Jim Morrison. To celebrate, fans will be heading to Paris to a reading performance from the actor / pal of Morrison, Richard Bohringer. He will be reading some of Morrison's poetry on his birthday-eve.

The gathering will take place at the Pere Lachaise Cemetery and there will also be a performance by Phil Trainer.

A gallery showing of Gunter Zint's 1968 The Doors European Tour photos and Robbie Freeman's UCLA photos of Morrison. 'The Strange Doors', a tribute band to The Doors will conclude the event at the Alhambra in Paris.

Here's a little sneak peak of their European Tour of 1968.

I leave you with one of my ultimate favorite Doors song, "L.A. Woman" It always reminds me of the movie The Doors at the end credits when they are singing this song and everyone is happy and having fun. Those are the memories that should be remembered ... the good times!
