Jazz Fest In Mesilla This Weekend

Borderland Jazz fans, Old Mesilla is the place for you this weekend!

The 17h annual "Jazz Happening", presented by the Mesilla Valley Jazz and Blues Society takes place Friday - Sunday. According to the Las Cruces Sun-News, the event:

kicks off at 6 p.m. on Friday with jazz bands performing at six different restaurants: La Posta de Mesilla, Double Eagle, Josefina’s Old Gate Cafe, Hacienda de Mesilla, St. Clair Winery & Bistro and Cafe de Mesilla.

Saturday and Sunday, you can enjoy the music all afternoon. The lineup is:

• SATURDAY:
• The Side Effect Organ Trio perform at 12:45pm, followed by The Border Jazz Quartet at 2:00pm and The Havana Quintet at 3:30pm.
• SUNDAY:
• The El Paso Jazz Collective perform at 12:30pm, followd by Speak No Evil at 1:45pm, the Jazz Unlimited Big Band at 3:00pm and the Ben Newsome Quartet at 4:30 p.m.
