I saw a Texas Buc-ee's fan on TikTok heaping praise on the C-store. He walked through the building in awe and reverence, like he was entering the Taj Majal.

Buc-ee's is Coming to Goodyear, and We Can't Wait!

If you've ever driven through Texas, you've probably seen the signs for Buc-ee's, the mega convenience store chain. According to their website, they've garnered awards and set world records.

The Sevierville, Texas Buc-ee's is the largest convenience store in the world at 74,707 square feet.
Buc-ee's holds the record for the world’s longest car wash with 255 feet of conveyor.
In 2012, Buc-ee's was voted Best Bathroom in America.

Good news, Arizona: Buc-ee's is coming to Goodyear, and we can't wait to see what all the fuss is about!

Buc-ee's has become a cult favorite. It's definitely not your average gas station. According to fans, it's a destination and a phenomenon.

Founded in 1982 by Arch "Beaver" Aplin III, who named the store after his childhood nickname and his Labrador Retriever, Buck, Buc-ee's has grown from a small store in Lake Jackson, Texas, to a chain of 47 locations across the southern United States.

Buc-ee's is known for its huge size, vast array of products, and impeccable cleanliness. Their restaurants are so clean that Buc-ee's won the Cintas award for "Best Restroom in America" in 2012.

Why are People Such Avid Fans of Buc-ee's?

It's hard to imagine why fans of Buc-ee's are so loyal, but they've told me you have to see it to believe it. To begin with, they rave about the food.

They have everything from fresh sandwiches, tacos, and doughnuts to smoked brisket, jerky, and fudge. You had me a brisket!

According to the hype, a sweet treat known as Beaver Nuggets is not to be missed. Fans call the caramel-coated fried corn puffs "addictive." Ok, I'll have to find out for myself!

They're also a shopping center of sorts, going way beyond a simple coffee and bag of chips stop you find at most convenience stores.

You'll find clothes, souvenirs, fishing gear, and tons more stuff. Oh, and you can refuel or recharge your vehicle, which is probably why you stopped to begin with! A trip through the famous car wash, and you can be on your way!

It seems like Buc-ee's has something for everyone. I'm beginning to understand why everyone is getting so excited about the store coming to Arizona!

When Will Buc-ee's Open in Goodyear, Arizona?

Bringing a location to the valley is still in the planning stages. AZFamily.com reports that the project still has to go through the city of Goodyear's approval process and Buc-ee's corporate, but if all goes as hoped, we may be noshing on their delicious brisket sometime this year.

Buc-ee's hopes to open its first Arizona location in Goodyear sometime in 2024. If you're traveling through Phoenix, you'll want to pad in a little extra time so you can fully take in the splendor that is Buc-ee's.
