The Iowa Hawkeyes started their 2017 college football season Saturday with an at-home win over Wyoming 24-3. Better than the lop-sided win was a new college football tradition that's already one of the best there is.

You see, right across the street from Kinnick Stadium is the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital. From the topmost floors of the hospital kids, their parents and visitors can see over the top of the stadium and get a view of the action. And, depending on where they're seated, the fans can turn around and look at the kids.

You've heard of "The Wave" before. Check out this video of the Iowa fans doing their own version. I think this tradition is one worth keeping around. At least, it's much better than keeping a terrified tiger in a cage on the sideline (looking at you, here, LSU).
