It's dangerous to take lyrics to classic rock songs too literally. Take the Blue Oyster Cult classic, "Burnin' For You". Most everyone understands BOC's talking about love, not fire. But this guy doesn't. This guy not only feels the need to be set on fire when he proposes, he then has his friends blast him with Roman candles.
