"Because I said I would" is hosting a YouTube video posted by Matthew Cordle, who says he drove drunk and killed a man over the summer.

The video, recorded on August 27, 2013, was released on September 3, 2013.  Notes posted with the video indicate that the delay posting it was to give 22-year old Cordle time to contact the victim's family.

Charges were not initially filed against Cordle, who in the video says, "...(on) June 22nd, 2013, I hit and killed Vincent Canzani...This video will act as my confession."

In an article in the Columbus Dispatch reporter Allison Manning says Cordle was injured in the crash and was identified as "the wrong-way driver" who caused the accident near Columbus, Ohio which killed Canzani.

Cordle, who was hospitalized, was not charged at the time.  In the video he says that he realizes that he has now given prosecutors what they need to pursue charges.  Cordle has subsequently said that he will cooperate with the law.
