PRESENT WRAPPING STUFF
There is nothing like ribbons, bows, and shiny wrapping paper with foil and glitter but all that stuff is stuff you can't stuff in the blue bin. The same goes for packing peanuts, Styrofoam and plastic wrap. Don't even think about putting ornaments or holiday string lights in the bin either.
If your paper looks like this without foil and glitter then you can recycle it.

FOOD STUFF
No one likes to do dishes but if you use disposal utensils, paper plates, plastic cups and paper napkins, put them in the gray bin. Anything with food residue on it cannot be put into the blue bin, including pizza boxes. They have cheese, grease, and pizza sauce that will mess up the recycling machinery.

PLASTIC STUFF
If you buy cases of water bottles, toilet paper or other products that are wrapped with a separate piece of plastic, don't put that plastic wrap in the blue bin. The recycling program only accepts Plastics #1 and #2 so look for that on your plastics.

The iconic (and at times silly) toys, technologies, and electronics have been usurped since their grand entrance, either by advances in technology or breakthroughs in common sense. See how many things on this list trigger childhood memories—and which ones were here and gone so fast you missed them entirely.
