Hueco Tanks State Park is a great place to hike and enjoy the beauty of the desert and at night, it takes on a whole new look. See for yourself March 21st! 

Hueco Tanks will open at night for this special event which will introduce you to the parks "dark" side and some of the critters that hide in the daylight.

According to the Hueco Tanks Facebook page, participants are encouraged to bring "sturdy shoes, water, snacks, flashlights (preferably with a red filter), weather-appropriate clothing, and their sense of adventure!"

  • Admission is $9.00 for those 13 and over and $2.00 for kids 5 - 12 years of age
  • Reservations are required, make yours by calling (915) 857-1135.
  • The hike takes place from 7:00pm - 10:00pm and is at ground level so, inexperienced hikers should have no trouble.
  • Gates to enter the park will close at EXACTLY 6:30pm so, don't be late!!
