The holiday season always brings out some of the best commercials. Despite the fact that it is an entire ploy to get you to buy something, because consumerism knows no bounds, the holiday commercials are great in my opinion. They're usually heartwarming and may bring a tear to your eye. On of my all time favorite commercials is the Hershey's "Bells" commercial, where a group of Hershey's Kisses band together and perform "We Wish You A Merry Christmas." I'm sure you've seen it, it's been around since 1989!

Every year I actually anticipate this ad, it lets me know that the holiday season really is here. Well, after 31 years, Hershey's decided to update their classic commercial and people, and myself, are not okay with it. Here is the updated version of the classic "Bells" commercial:

As you can see, it starts out normal, with the Hershey's Kisses starting their beautiful performance of "We Wish You A Merry Christmas" when suddenly... a little girl snatches up a red Kiss and has the audacity to place it onto a cookie! Look, I get it; it's adorable, making cookies together is definitely a great holiday tradition, but why on this, our most sacred commercial?

I know I'm not the only one who was a little perturbed with the new "Bells" commercial, just one look on Twitter will show that many others were not happy with the change.

I think we can all agree that this was definitely not the year to change the classic commercial.

The backlash was strong enough for Hershey's to actually give us a reply- stating that they will now air BOTH the classic version and the updated version of their "Bells" commercial:

On behalf of many, Hershey's, I applaud you for making the right move! What do you think about the new version of the "Bells" commercial? Let us know!
