If Mean Old Grinch Really Wanted To Ruin Christmas In El Paso, He’d Do This
Sure, stealing all the decorations and gifts was a pretty evil thing to do but there are other things he could do in El Paso if he really, REALLY wanted it to hurt.
The Grinch legend says he hated Christmas with all his "two sizes, too small" heart and tried to ruin Christmas in Whoville by stealing all the gifts and decorations and stuff.
That might put a damper on things here in El Paso but if he really wanted to make Christmas miserable for us, this is what he'd really have to do.
Throughout the Borderland, many peeps have spent Christmas without decorations and/or loved ones so, taking all the shiny stuff away wouldn't really phase us much.
If the Grinch really wanted to stick it to us, he'd have to get both more hardcore. We're talking stuff like:
Shutting off The Star. It's become so synonymous with El Paso, we're known as "Star City" now and locale businesses, like Star City Studios OM Gallery and Star Central Studios have embraced the name.
That would bum peeps out.
Kidnap Chico. Oh boy ... talk about the Whovill-ians, errr, El Pasoans, losing their shizzle.
Everybody loves Chico and this would totally be going too far.
Shutting off the power to East Ridge. This "lit" neighborhood has been an El Paso tradition for decades and the 915 would definitely feel its absence.
He better not.
Here's where it gets real ...
Instead of taking, he could bring something ... like more construction.
The LAST thing we want to see is more orange barrels and "lane/freeway closed ahead" signs.
What Is The Worst Thing The Grinch Could Do To El Paso?
The true, absolute, meanest, evil-est, most horrific thing ever?
Snag all the tamales. Can you imagine? Christmas in El Paso without tamales?
Granted, he'd have to nail every bakery in the area and a ton of restaurants; not to mention every abuelita's kitchen in 3 states and 2 countries.
He did a number on Whoville though so, I wouldn't put it past him. He's a mean one, you know ...
