GOOD NEWS/BAD NEWS of the Week

Time once again to take a fair and balanced look at the news.  For every dark cloud, there must be a silver lining. For every punch-bowl there must be a turd.

GOOD NEWS: Alanis Morissette is joining The Voice as a celebrity mentor.

BAD  NEWS:  She will coach the contestants on how to write lyrics, how to improve their stage presence and how to carry a seething and all-consuming hatred for Dave Coulier.

BAD NEWS:  A new survey finds that 75% of people say they have already broken their New Year's resolutions.

GOOD  NEWS:   Not me, though.  I'm proud to say I haven't broken a single one of my resolutions.  They are, "To cancel my gym membership" and "To take up smoking".

GOOD NEWS:  Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie met with President Obama at the White House this week!

BAD NEWS:  There was an awkward moment when Malia entered the room and Angelina tried to adopt her.

GOOD NEWS:  There is a new beer on the market, "Chick Beer" which is touted as "Brewed For Women By Women" and it seems to be selling well!

BAD NEWS:  You do NOT want to know where they got the yeast from.
