No kidding ... I'm gonna live forever!!

BBQ, pan fried, stuffed ... SHAKE N BAKE; however you cook 'em I love pork chops.  I enjoy a shot of Jack here and there and beer, well you guys know how I feel about that!!

Apparently, I have been doing nothing but good to myself with these things!  In this time of cancer causing this and bad cholesterol that; it's nice to get some good news!!  :)

According to author Jane McLagan;

45 percent of pork fat is monounsaturated, which can help raise your HDL, or good cholesterol, and also can help lower your LDL, or bad cholesterol.

Yes El Paso, you can use pork in tacos and burritos to get the same awesome effects!!  (Not sure if the chicharones do you any good though.)

As for whiskey, there's good news there from The Mayo Clinic

The Mayo - freakin - Clinic!!

According to them studies suggest that

if you consume one alcoholic drink per day if you're a woman, or two drinks a day if you're a guy, you can increase your HDL cholesterol levels and also potentially decrease your risk of a stroke.

Last but not least; BEER!!  Homer Simpson was right again; beer makes you smarter!  (Not only am I going to live forever; I'm also a genious!)

That's according to research from the University of Illinois!! (Go ahead guys, crack 'em open ... Here's to Einstein!!)  Given a set of problems, the drinkers beat the non drinkers hands (er, cans) down!!

Not only did the drinkers solve 40 percent more problems than the nondrinkers, they solved their problems faster: 12 seconds compared to the nondrinking 15.5 seconds.

HAA!!!!!!!  (I've been telling people this stuff for years; at long last I am vindicated!!)  Grab a case of beer, a bottle of whiskey, some chops and start getting healthy!!

The Albertsons on Redd Rd. has a great beer selection and an awesome meat department by the way. (And they're RIGHT NEXT TO EACH OTHER!!)  :)

Turns out popcorn is really healthy also.  Serve that as an appetizer!!

I wonder if marinating the chops in beer and whiskey triples the healthy goodness...
