Gibson Guitars In Hot Water With The U. S. Government Again?

You may recall a blog I posted awhile back about a shortage of certain woods possibly leading to fewer .. or no .. new guitars.  Now Gibson and the Government are tangling over the wood(s) they do have!

My first blog on this subject indicated that a wood shortage could mean the end of certain guitar lines. 

Prior to that story, it had been announced Gibson was under fire for illegally obtaining wood.

Hmmmm ....... When you raid someone and sieze their things as evidence ..  but then never get around to filing or pressing charges .. I start to question things.  (It makes me wonder if you knew what the hell you were doing in the first place!) Knowing the governments reluctance to admit it's mistakes; I'm leaning toward believing that Gibson has done no wrong here.
