He was initially brought to the attention of police for ... basically ... being weird.

Christopher Dewitt Craig, 32, a former UTEP hoops player had been working in Colorado as a junior college basketball coach and had recently dubbed himself an "Islamic jihadist".

He had also recently been quoted as saying "Catholics and Mormons" would be destroyed in the coming weeks. He was arrested in July for entering a classroom holding up a bible and shouting obscenities while asking the teacher if he was a Mormon.

He was brought to the attention of the police back in July when several reports came in about a guy driving around wearing sunglasses with a towel wrapped around his head and filming himself.

Over the course of the most recent arrest, he told officers he believed marijuana was a "holy spirit". (He was busted for possession of marijuana and for having a pipe.)  Craig had also recently spray painted his car with "Revelation 14:7" on the side and the letters "YHWH." Apparently a reference to the Hebrew name for God, "Yahweh".

Guess the cops didn't have much trouble tracking down that vehicle huh??
