For International Cat Day. Here’s the World’s OLDEST Cat Video

If you didn’t know, over 70% of all content on the internet is Cat Videos. If you thought the world’s first cat video only dates back to the dawn of the internet, you would be off by about a hundred years. I’ll share that with you in a moment but first, little known facts about cats.

Cats have been known to survive falls of over 32 stories onto hard concrete. You should NEVER test this yourself.

The term for a group of cats is a “clowder”. The term for the group of cats at Joanna Barba’s house is called “hoarding”.

Varieties of cats include Persian, Siamese, Maine Coon, Havana Brown and Oriental Shorthair. These names also sound like racial slurs from the 19th Century

Speaking of the 19th century, that’s when the first cat video ever came out. Seriously. “Professor Welton’s Boxing Cats” was filmed in July of 1894 at Thomas Edison’s Film Studio (also known as “The ONLY Film Studio in the World” at the time).
