   Dear Elizabeth,

           There is a format where the person delivering the news reads only the news without any added commentary or personal interjection. That format is called..."The News"...which you can see on multiple TV channels, papers, magazines and web-sites. The format that I do is called "Talk Radio", in which the news is commented upon by the host (me) for the entertainment of the audience (you). I'm glad I'm able to clear up any confusion for you. Please feel free to contact me if you need help on the difference between a "News Report" about a homicide and a "TV Drama" about a homicide. I can only imagine your confusion watching Law and Order and wondering why the people on there are always "making it about themselves".
