Yeah, ranch soda; as in ranch dressing! You know how there's weird sodas all around the country- and today we were (un)fortunate enough to get our hands on some.

Our Digital Managing Editor, Emily (whom you may know as "Intern Emily") brought in some weird sodas that her husband, who works as a trucker, bought on one of his trips while at a truck stop.

Emily didn't tell us the flavors, instead she had us taste each one while we guessed what they were. It wasn't pleasant, but I thought this was a good opportunity to test my sense of taste and smell.

In case you missed it, I had COVID back in August and, unfortunately, one of my side effects was a loss of taste and smell. It took awhile, but my sense of smell and taste finally came back, however, it didn't come back the same. I'm currently experiencing "Parosmia"- a type of smell disorder in which odors become distorted. I can definitely attest that my sense of smell is weird- some of the things that I used to love smell weird now, like my favorite perfume!

I thought this would be a good time to put my wonky taste buds to the test! Here's how we handled the taste test.

Yeah, the three sodas were ranch, grass and butter; notice how Buzz's go-to answer for all of them were butter? As for my taste buds? Yeah, they worked pretty good here.

For the most part, they didn't taste as awful as you'd imagine, but I definitely won't be reaching for the ranch soda anytime soon!
