Guitarist Nita Strauss joined Evanescence onstage at the 2019 Epicenter Festival in North Carolina last week for a rousing performance of "Disappear." The song — receiving a live boost from the Alice Cooper band member and solo artist on Friday (May 10) — was first released as a bonus track on the Amy Lee-led group's eponymous 2011 album.

During Evanescence's headlining Epicenter slot, the two artists launched the unexpected concert collaboration in front of an enthusiastic festival audience, some of whom captured the action in real time. Watch the videos down toward the bottom of this post.

The gig from Evanescence could signal the start of a new era for the band. Epicenter was the fifth appearance from the act since they got back to rocking full-force after an intimate orchestral tour last year. Not only that, but a new album could be on the way next year, as Lee further detailed during an interview ahead of the group's fest performance.

"This is sort of a creation year for us," she told Sirius XM. "We're playing a few festivals and some headlining shows. … And in the time in between getting together and starting the writing process for a new album."

Both Strauss and Evanescence are out on respective U.S. tours throughout the summer, the former performing a pair of shows alongside Fozzy Wednesday (May 15) and Thursday (May 16). View all the dates after the clips.
