EPISD to Hold Meetings About School Returning This Fall

What can parents and students expect when school begins again this fall? There will be two virtual meetings coming up held by EPISD to answer the questions. Both meeting will take place on Tuesday, July 13th. One will happen at noon, with the other taking place at 5:30pm. When the time comes for the meetings...

The meetings will conducted in English, Spanish and also have an American Sign Language interpretation as well.

School districts, parents, kids... everyone is trying to figure out how to get back on track. Even with kids able to learn virtually during the pandemic, it wasn't the same. Kids are way behind where they should be compared to just a year ago. Of course, there's a good chance someone reading this will immediately blame the teachers. Others will immediately blame the parents. While there's a third group that will immediately blame the school district and the leadership. If you are in any of these groups, please, take a step back for a minute. Realize that the pandemic put us in a position we weren't prepared for. We can now do one of two things. We can either pass blame and argue about why we weren't prepared, or we can realize we're all in the same boat and work together to get back on track.

I know that's easier said than done, but that doesn't mean it's impossible.
