What in the world is going on with EPISD? Who is running their Instagram account? They recently posted this to their Instagram page:

That doesn't seem all that bad, right? They're trying to use their social media to help with the difficult situation we're going through right now. The issue comes from their responses to some of the comments. Here are some of the comments with the EPISD responses.

@ripaby:

thank you episd, you cured my depression

@episdschools:

glad we would help

@ripaby:

can you please now help me cure the debilitating anxiety i face when i fall behind in online assignments

@episdschools:

we aren't mental health professionals, but our counselors are. Reach out to them.

@thedannik:

lol

@samuelkligman:

or... don't assign so much work if you really care about the anxiety of your students

@episdschools:

we don't assign work. Teachers do. Speak to them about their course load.

@samuelkligman:

or you could regulate it as you did with regular class students

@episdschools:

nah

Yup. You read that right. Their response to someone asking them to actually do their job was "nah." He exchange continues on. Someone took screen shots of the Instagram thread and posted the photos over on Reddit. You can find those photos by CLICKING HERE.

Am I the only one in El Paso that realizes this catty game of bulls*** from all sides is what has caused the issues in this area's school districts. This would be a situation of "everyone sucks" if we were playing Am I the A-hole on the air with this. There are members of EPISD, teachers, and parents that are to blame. Why? Because all sides blame the other side for all the problems. No one is willing to take ownership of their own damn actions. Unfortunately, there are also a lot of really, really good teachers out there and really, really good parents who have to deal with the bulls*** because the bottom of the barrel have to cast blame on everyone else.

And whoever runs EPISD's Instagram should have to deal with some sort of a consequence. I'm not one to immediately call for someone's job, but if you ever wonder why people don't take EPISD seriously, this can be exhibit 'A'.
